Saif Ali Khan Breaks Silence On Why Taimur Took Him To Hospital
Saif further added that it was his wife, Kareena's decision to send Taimur with him. Thinking about the moment, Saif stated that they did the right thing as if anything had happened to him, and that he wanted his son to be there. Saif was quoted as saying: "He (Taimur) was absolutely composed. He was fine. He said, ‘I’m coming with you.’ I was getting a lot of comfort just from looking at him at that time. And I didn’t want to go alone. My wife sent him knowing what he would do for me. Maybe it wasn’t… at the moment, it was the right thing to do. I felt good about it. And I also thought, if God forbid, something happens, I’d like for him to be there. And he wanted to be there also."
Saif further revealed that while Taimur accompanied him to the hospital in an auto, Kareena took their younger son, Jeh, to her sister, Karisma Kapoor's residence. The incident happened on January 16, 2025, when an intruder invaded the couple's home and ended up in Jeh's room, he even asked for money.
Recalling the horrific night, Saif shared that he was sleeping with Kareena in their bedroom when, at around 2 a.m., they were woken up by screams from their house help. As soon as he saw the intruder in Jeh's room, something took over him, and without worrying about himself, he attacked him.
The intruder was armed with sharp knives and stabbed the actor in order to free himself from his grip. Saif wasn't able to fight with bare hands as the burglar had two knives, and that's when his house help, Geeta, intertwined and managed to pull away the attacker. Saif was quoted as saying: "Something took over me. I couldn’t handle it after a while as there were two knives in action. I was praying that someone could get this guy off me at this point."
Saif revealed that he managed to lock the intruder inside his son, Jeh's room, but he managed to escape through the drainpipe from his children's bathroom. When Saif reached the hospital, doctors informed him that if the blade had penetrated four inches inside his body, he could have been paralysed.
