Ranbir Kapoor Reacts To An Audience's Negative Remark On Animal
At 55th IFFI in Goa Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor had to counter an audience member slamming him for his recent film Animal as well as Sanju. He even highlighted some dissatisfaction towards the portrayal showing of violence in these films and said that Animal and Sanju gives that they can achieve anything with violence and suggested that such films should not be promoted. The attendee also appreciated older films but for the story telling aspect.
Reacting to the remarks, Kapoor said, "I completely agree with your opinion. As an actor, it is our responsibility to bring movies which bring a positive change to society. Having said that, I'm an actor, it’s very important that I also dabble in different genres and different characters and play varied roles. But what you are saying is absolutely correct. We have to be more responsible towards the kind of films we make."
Animal is an action drama directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga based on conflict of interest, family’s bond between sons and father and male chauvinism accompanied with an element of redemption. The movie have been applauded for great acting and condemned for violent and obvious sexism. The movie staring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna and Triptii Dimri received mixed response.
