Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have returned to Mumbai from Alibaug, for their best friend, Ayan Mukerji, as he mourns the loss of his father.
At the age of 83, Ayan Mukerji’s father and veteran actor, Deb Mukherjee, passed on Friday, March 14 away due to illness and other health related issues. Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt went to Alibaug yesterday to celebrate Alia Bhatt’s upcoming birthday on March 15. However, the couple has now rushed to Mumbai for Deb’s last rites. Ayan has always shared a close bond with Ranbir and Alia. Many other big personalities within the Bollywood industry also reached Ayan’s residence to pay their respects.
Deb Mukherjee has worked in several Bollywood films, including Aansoo Ban Gaye Phool, Abhinetri, Do Aankhen, Baaton Baaton Mein, Kaminey and Gudgudee, among others. Deb Mukherjee’s last rites will be performed at 4 pm today at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Juhu, Mumbai. Several Bollywood stars including Kajol, Ajay Devgn, Rani Mukerji, Tanuja, Hrithik Roshan, Sidharth Malhotra, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are likely to pay their final tributes to the late actor.
“Brahmastra 2 is something that Ayan has been nurturing as a dream for a very long time. He is currently working on War 2. Once this releases, he will start pre-production of Brahmastra 2.
