Ramayana Starring Ranbir Kapoor To Be The Costliest Film; Check Budget

Ranbir Kapoor starring Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana is going to be the costliest Bollywood film in the recent times with a whooping budget of Rs. 835 Cr, as per reports. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Maa Sita & Sunny Deol as Hanuman. Lara Dutta too is going to be the part of the cast.

The shooting has been started of Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana & is set to release not soon but in 2027 as the project requires 600 days of post-production, reports said. With such mega budget project the film is surely will be a visually dynamic and royal atleast we can expect that. Though similar expectations were anticipated from Om Raut's Adipurush starring Prabhas but it did not worked that well and the primary reason counted was the VFX & visual quality.

With 600-days of post-production and Rs. 835 Crs budget Nitesh Tiwari will be aiming to tickmark the checkboxes that Adipurush could not do. Also there were some controversial reports and despute over intellectual property rights, the issue centers around the aleged rights to the use of the 'Project Ramayana' script and related material.

If the parties involved manage to resolve their differences and proceed with the production, 'Ramayana' could be a major cinematic event, given its epic scope and the involvement of popular actors.
