Rakul Preet Singh Celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi With Jackky Bhagnani
Actor Rakul Preet Singh recently celebrated her first Ganesh Chaturthi after her marriage to actor-producer Jackky Bhagnani, marking a special occasion as they brought Bappa home. "It feels amazing. Festivals are a wonderful way to celebrate with family and friends. Firsts are always special and hold a unique place in one’s heart. There's a lot to learn, and I’m just observing how the puja and aarti are done," Singh shared, adding that they chose an eco-friendly idol and performed the visarjan on Monday.
Reflecting on her early experiences with the festival, Singh, who moved to Mumbai from Delhi in 2011, recalled, "That was the year I moved to the city, and it was then that I first learned about visarjan. I remember going to Madh Beach to witness the visarjan and realizing how grand and joyful the festival is."
When asked about her favorite Ganesh Chaturthi tradition, Singh said she loves when the whole family comes together for the celebrations. "Both Jackky and I enjoy being surrounded by our loved ones. That’s the essence of any festival, isn’t it? That’s my favorite part—and of course, we got to indulge in the delicious modaks!" she concluded.
