New Update
Munjya

Munjya, a recently released film starring Abhay Verma, Sharvari Wagh and Mona Singh and directed by Aditya Sarpotdar is a horror comedy. This movie perfectly balances the genres of horror and comedy unlike many other Bollywood films. The beautiful landscape and the background score add to the emotions the film is trying to portray.

The main plotline of the film, revolves around the ghostlike creature called the Munjya. The munjya is actually based on a Maharashtrian folklore, and the ‘poltergeist’ is created by CGI. Prime Focus Group has once again taken audiences to a different world with their mastery of VFX in Munjya. It took more than a year to create the eerie and mischievous protagonist from scratch using cutting-edge computer-generated imagery (CGI) for Munjya. The character somewhat reminds you of Gollum from the Lord of the Rings, one of the best animated characters.

Munjya

The character was something that was never seen before in mainstream media and so creating it from the scratch was definitely a challenge, but Prime Focus does a great job at making a scary, supernatural and sinister character. The CGI adds more effect to the film, making it scarier. Before this we have not seen many CGI or animated characters in Bollywood films, so this venture by the makers really captivated the audiences. The film was appreciated by the audiences for trying out something new in Bollywood and we are looking forward to having more CGI and animated characters in Bollywood.
