69th National Film Awards 2023: The awards were announced on Thursday evening at the National Media Centre in Delhi. Shoojit Sircar's directorial Sardar Udham won the best feature film award in Hindi. The film was released in 2021 on Prime Video and starred Vicky Kaushal in the lead role.

The Best Film Award was won by R Madhavan's Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, it's only award this year. The Best Actress award was shared between Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon for Gangubai Kathiawadi and Mimi, respectively. Best Actor Award went to Allu Arjun for Pushpa. He became the first Telugu actor to get this honour. Later, he celebrated the feat with Pushpa team and some well-earned hugs.
Best Supporting actor went to Pankaj Tripathi for Mimi, who dedicated the award to his father, who passed away earlier this week. Best Supporting Actress was won by Pallavi Joshi for The Kashmir Files. The Kashmir Files also won Best Film on National Integrity.
As Gangubai Kathiawadi won multiple awards (5), director Sanjay Leela Bhansali said, “I’m happy for everybody who has won, my film and other films, and everybody, who has won. Good cinema gets acknowledged and a pat on the back from the government, and nationally and from a respectful jury, it always brings you joy.”
"As far as cinema is celebrated from all over India, it is a wonderful moment for all of us. I’m too happy," he added.
