Nargis Fakri's Sister,Aliya Fakri Arrested In Murder Accusations

Bollywood actress Nargis Fakhri’s sister, Aliya Fakhri, has been arrested for allegedly starting a fire in Queens, New York, that led to the deaths of her ex-boyfriend, Edward Jacobs, and his friend, Anastasia Star Ettienne. The fire occurred in a two-story garage, and the victims died from smoke and burns. Aliya has been charged with murder and denied bail.

District Attorney Melinda Katz called the incident a deliberate and harmful act. She said, " This defendant maliciously ended the lives of two people by setting a fire that trapped a man and woman in a raging inferno. The victims tragically died from smoke inhalation and thermal injuries."

Nargis Fakhri hasn’t commented yet, but her mother has defended Aliya. She said she couldn’t believe the accusations were true.

Edward Jacobs’ mother shared that Jacobs and Aliya had broken up a year before the tragic event. However, Aliya allegedly kept trying to reconnect with him. The report also stated that Jacobs and Ettienne were just friends and not romantically involved.

A key witness at the crime scene said they tried to save Anastasia but had to jump over a barrier to escape the fire. The witness explained that Anastasia went back into the burning building to rescue Edward Jacobs. They also mentioned that Aliya and Edward had "an abusive relationship," which may have contributed to the deadly fire.

The witness revealed, " We had to jump over it to escape. Star jumped over with me, but then she went back in to save [Jacobs]. It was an abusive relationship. She had told everyone before that she was going to burn his house down, that she was going to kill him. We just laughed it off."
