The health condition of veteran actor and BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty, 73, has improved significantly after being admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata due to severe chest pain. An official from the medical facility confirmed that Chakraborty is "quite stable" and is recuperating well. He remains fully conscious, and active, and has consumed a soft diet, with further investigations planned before discharge.
Chakraborty's hospitalization sparked concern among fans, but his son Mimoh clarified that it was merely a routine check-up. Daughter-in-law Madalsa Sharma vehemently refuted reports of chest pain, stating it was a routine check-up, questioning the source of the rumours.

Earlier reports suggested Chakraborty experienced discomfort and chest pain, leading to speculation of a brain stroke. However, his family dismissed these claims, affirming his well-being. Chakraborty, a Padma Bhushan awardee, has acted in over 350 films across various languages.
His wife reassured the public, stating his sugar levels had spiked but were now under control. With his health on the mend and his family dispelling concerns, fans can breathe a sigh of relief, wishing the beloved actor a speedy recovery.
Mithun Chakraborty, born Gouranga Chakraborty, boasts a remarkable career spanning over five decades and featuring in more than 350 films across multiple Indian languages. He made his acting debut in Mrinal Sen's Mrigaya (1977), which earned him his first National Film Award for Best Actor.
Apart from his illustrious acting career, Mithun Chakraborty is also known for his stint as a producer and politician. He has served as a Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament and has contributed significantly to both Hindi and Bengali cinema.
