Model and actress Malaika Arora and her family are grieving the unexpected loss of her father, Anil Mehta, who passed away on September 11, 2024. The tragic news left the Arora family heartbroken, with Malaika and her sister, Amrita Arora, rushing to their mother, Joyce Polycarp’s home in Bandra, to say a final farewell to their father. Later that evening, Malaika was seen leaving the house with Arjun Kapoor.

Malaika Arora was helped by Arjun Kapoor as she left the building. He gently guided her to the car, where her son, Arhaan Khan, joined them. Her sister, Amrita Arora, was also there to offer support. Arjun stayed close to Malaika throughout the evening, showing his concern for her during this tough time.

Close friends of the Arora family, Kareena and Karisma Kapoor, were also there to offer support. The Kapoor sisters were seen leaving together after comforting the family. Kareena and Malaika have shared a strong bond over the years, frequently seen together at events and standing by each other during tough times.

 

Malaika Arora, who was in Pune when her father passed away, quickly returned to Mumbai after hearing the sad news. Amrita Arora, who had visited their parents just the day before, came with her husband, Shakeel Ladak, to pay respects. Malaika's ex-husband, Arbaaz Khan, was also seen offering his condolences.

Arhaan Khan, son of Malaika, was spotted earlier in the day with his cousin Nirvaan Khan and aunt Amrita, visibly moved by the passing of his grandfather. Members of the extended Khan family, including Salim Khan, Helen, Sohail Khan, and Alvira Agnihotri, also visited the Arora residence to offer their condolences.

Malaika shared the news of her father’s passing on Instagram, calling him a "gentle soul" and a "devoted grandfather."

The cremation is scheduled for September 12 at the Santacruz Hindu Crematorium in Mumbai.
