Amongst 398 Artists, Karan Johar Is Invited To Be A Member At Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Science

The heart-warming storyteller Karan Johar had been recently felicitated by the British Parliament for his greatest contribution to Hindi Cinema and the success of his directorial films like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, K3G, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, My Name Is Khan, Student of the Year etc speaks it all.

And now, Karan has been invited by none other than the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science, the organization behind the Oscars to be a part of their membership amongst 398 other artists list released by them. 

Adding to our Indian celebrities list RRR movie track ‘Naatu Naatu’ Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravani, lyricist Chandrabose, actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR, Siddharth Roy Kapur, director Chaitanya Tamhane are also invited for the same.

Talking about Mr Johar’s felicitation, the director wrote, “Today has been SUCH A SPECIAL day! I am fortunate and deeply grateful to be honoured at the British House of Parliament, in London by the esteemed Baroness Verma of Leicester. We celebrated my 25th year as a filmmaker in the film industry and I launched the teaser for #RockyAurRaniKiiPremKahaani too!”

He added, “It’s one of those days where I pinch myself and realise that dreams do come true. Thank you everyone for the unabashed love you have shown me in my journey. And I promise you, there is more to come.”
