Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan is thrilled as his blockbuster movie Karan Arjun is returning to theatres. The film, which stars Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan as brothers, along with Mamta Kulkarni, Kajol, Rakhee, Amrish Puri, and others in lead roles, was a huge hit when it was first released in 1995. Nearly 30 years later, as it gets re-released, Roshan shared his excitement and explained why he would never consider remaking the iconic movie.
With its studded star cast, Karan Arjun earned praise and won the hearts of audiences. As the film is set to re-release on November 22, 2024, Rakesh Roshan shared his thoughts about the movie and revealed his stance on remaking it.
He explained, " I won’t remake Karan Arjun or make a sequel but If I were to think of an alternate jodi for the movie today, I would cast Hrithik Roshan as Karan and Ranbir Kapoor as Arjun".
Rakesh Roshan also talked about casting the two superstars as brothers. He shared that he chose Salman to play a strong, quiet boxer, while Arjun was meant to be cheerful, carefree, and brave.
