In a recent conversation with ‘Free Press Journal’, Jibraan Khan discussed the extended period before his entry into mainstream cinema following ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham’.

The actor noted that inquiries about his debut had persisted over the last five to six years. Jibraan candidly acknowledged the challenges he encountered, underscoring the importance of selecting the right project for his debut. He stressed the necessity of distinguishing himself and preparing thoroughly as a mainstream actor, focusing on both physicality and acting skills.

Jibraan highlighted his proactive approach to pursuing acting opportunities by contacting directors and producers and actively participating in auditions. He mentioned attempting to secure a role in Karan Johar’s ‘Student of The Year 2’, but he was not cast because he appeared younger than Tiger Shroff.

Jibraan Khan remembered how the late veteran actor Amrish Puri had advised his parents to shield him from public exposure. However, following his third film, ‘Rishtey’, Jibraan chose to take a break from acting. He clarified that during that period, there was a consensus that budding actors should limit visibility to preserve their appeal.
