Actor Janhvi Kapoor was hospitalized with food poisoning on July 18 and was discharged a few days later. Recently, she shared that this was her first hospital stay and revealed she has a digestive immunity disorder.
Janhvi Kapoor shared that her body was "exhausted" from working non-stop, even before promoting her film 'Mr. and Mrs. Mahi'. In just a month, she shot three songs without any breaks and was rehearsing for a fourth. She was also traveling and attending events. "I haven't really had a break," Janhvi said.
Janhvi Kapoor's immunity weakened, and she ate something "funky" at the airport while in Chennai for an event. At first, she thought it was a stomach bug, but her blood tests showed abnormal results. Even after her stomach settled, she experienced body aches, weakness, shivering, and shaking.
Not just her stomach, Janhvi's liver tests also scared her doctors. "My liver enzymes and my liver profile were way off, which gave doctors a lot of reason to panic," the 'Dhadak' actor shared. She added, "So for three-four days, essentially, I was just at the hospital, and they were trying to figure out what was wrong with me and why my parameters were so off."
Janhvi Kapoor described her health condition as "quite scary." Despite this, her main concern was her dancing and whether she looked fit enough to perform well.
Janhvi Kapoor also recalled feeling completely "handicapped and paralyzed" while about to board a flight at the Hyderabad airport. She couldn't go to the washroom by herself and was unable to "sleep, walk, or eat."
After her health scare, Janhvi Kapoor learned the importance of respecting and listening to her body. She has resumed work but still feels quite weak.
