I Never Knew I Was Gonna Marry Him..:Maheep Kapoor

Maheep Kapoor made her screen debut in Netflix's Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives in 2022. After three seasons, fans still admire her bond with her husband, actor Sanjay Kapoor. Recently, on a show, Maheep shared how she first met Sanjay by crashing one of his parties.

Maheep Kapoor shared the story of how she fell in love with Sanjay Kapoor and said, " Ours was quite simple. I just had a one-night stand with a man and I never knew I was going to get married to him. I gatecrashed his party, that’s where I met him. Dead drunk. I met the whole family, mother-in-law and father-in-law. You guys know my family na? Anil, Sunita, Sri (Sridevi). I was dead drunk."

She further added, " They still accepted me and said, ‘Wow, what an amazing future daughter-in-law.’ They welcomed me with open arms. We didn’t have all this proposal and all. I’m much older than you. We didn’t have Instagram. So, we didn’t give a sh*t. He just told me, ‘Look, we’re getting married."

While recalling the old memories she further expressed, " We were at The 1900s (nightclub). We were drunk and partying. He said, ‘Okay, we’re getting married.’ So, in between my tequila shots, I said, ‘Okay, fine.’ That was it".

She shared that she dated Sanjay for five years before marrying him, and they've now been together for 30 years.

Maheep admitted that her marriage hasn’t always been easy. In the first season of her show, she revealed that Sanjay Kapoor had cheated on her early in their marriage. Despite this, she decided to move past it and focus on keeping their marriage strong for their children.

Sanjay Kapoor is the youngest brother of Boney Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. He married Maheep in 1997. They had their first child, daughter Shanaya Kapoor, in 1999, and their son, Jahaan Kapoor, was born in 2006.
