“He Brings Natural Warmth”- Shoojit Sircar On Abhishek Bachchan Being Cast For I Want To Talk

National award winning director and one of the finest filmmakers of Indian Cinema, Shoojit Sircar recently revealed the real reason behind casting Abhishek Bachchan in the role of a father for his upcoming film ‘I Want to Talk.’

"I chose Abhishek for this role because he brings a natural warmth and relatability that is perfect for exploring the depth of a daughter-father relationship," Shoojit shared

"We've wanted to work together for years, and this story of family and everyday life was the ideal fit. Abhishek has delivered one of his finest performances, capturing the subtle, slice-of-life moments that truly bring the character to life."

Shoojit has the ability to showcase ordinary people in an extraordinary story making his films relevant and iconic. Some of his past films like Piku, Sardar Udham, October, and Madras Cafe have been critically acclaimed worldwide. 

The film narrates the story of a father-daughter relationship, where Arjun (played by Abhishek) is fighting against an illness that changes his life completely tagged along with internal battles.

I Want to Talk marks the first collaboration between Abhishek and Shoojit which will be released in theaters on November 22. With Shoojit’s beautiful story-telling, cinematography, and Abhishek Bachchan’s top-notch acting skills, the film is anticipated to be loved both critically and commercially.
