The story continues after 17 years where the son of Tara & Sakeena is grown up played by Director of the film Anil Sharma’s son Utkarsh Sharma. There are major throwbacks to the first part which also includes some new and some old faces. It brings the same nostalgic feels from music to the characters everything reminds you of part one.

While providing ammunition at the border to help the Indian army Tara Singh disappears with the 6 Indian soldiers and truck drivers. Later it reveals that Pakistan major General Hamid Iqbal played by Manish Wadhwa has arrested them. The son of Tara Singh, Charanjit Singh aka Jeete goes on a mission to find his father in Pakistan. Further he faces many challenges and develops love interest in a Pakistani girl Muskaan (Simrat Kaur).

The most important and enjoyable part of the film is the recreated versions of the songs- Main Nikla Gadi leke & Udd Ja Kale Kaavan. Both the songs take you back in time. And the additional couple of songs are also a breath of fresh air that don't disappoint.

Overall, Gadar 2 has all what it had in part 1, both Tara and Jeete to show their might and perform some non-stop action sequences in slow-mo. This family drama is definitely a Mass-Entertainer which will bang in theatres ahead of Independence Day.
