From Stree 2 to Vampire-Comedy: Amar Kaushik Reveals His New Project

Filmmaker Amar Kaushik, who recently directed the successful 'Stree 2' starring Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor, is gearing up to produce Ayushmann Khurrana’s next film, a vampire comedy titled ‘Thamba’.

In an interview with India Today, Kaushik shared that ‘Thamba’ will be the first vampire-comedy from the Maddock Supernatural Universe. The film is scheduled to begin production in two months. Kaushik also confirmed that he is financing the project starring Ayushmann Khurrana.

Additionally, he revealed that the script for ‘Bhediya 2’, featuring Varun Dhawan, is currently in development. Meanwhile, Kaushik is enjoying the success of his recent directorial venture, ‘Stree 2’.

This sequel to the 2018 film ‘Stree’, which also starred Kapoor and Rao, has become one of the year’s biggest hits. ETimes gave it a rating of 4 out of 5, noting that ‘Stree 2’ continues the original film's successful mix of horror and comedy with impressive box office results.
