Question are being raised that why Shah Rukh rejected Don 3 and didn't continued the role. Now, the reports have come, why he rejected the movie.
Shah Rukh is not keen to get back as Don again
According to the reports, the creators of the movie Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani had sat with Shah Rukh Khan multiple times to do a detailed discussion on Don 3. Before the pandemic hit, multipe discussion had happen and couple of ideas were also finalised and it took the shape of the script through the pandemic. But, Shah Rukh Khan is not interested in returning as Don again at this time of his career. Presently, SRK is interested in doing commercial movies that provides to a universal section of the audience and Don 3, happens to not fit in to his category of cinema he wants to do for coming years. To elevate the franchise reboot Farhan Akhtar even suggested the idea of including three generation of Don, Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and the new generation actor to represent the evolution of Don over the time. However, Shah Rukh Khan did'nt approved the idea and that led to Ranveer Singh replacing him as the new Don in the Don 3.
Recently, Farhan Akhtar took to his social media handle to introduce Ranveer Singh as the new Don for the Don franchise.
