Producer Vivek Vaswani recently shared heartwarming anecdotes from Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan's wedding, which took place in Delhi in 1991. Vivek, who played a significant role in Shah Rukh's career, recalled the special moments and the close bond he shares with the iconic actor.
During an interview, Vivek revealed that at the time of Shah Rukh's wedding, the actor was living with him at his parents' house. To celebrate the occasion, Vivek gifted the couple a five-day stay at a hotel in Mumbai and later arranged for their accommodation at filmmaker Aziz Mirza's apartment.
The wedding festivities, as per Vivek, were a blend of Hindu and Muslim traditions, with a registered wedding also taking place on the same day. He recalled the joyous atmosphere and praised the fantastic food at the event. Shah Rukh and Gauri's wedding is said to have included a court marriage, a nikkah (a Muslim wedding), and a traditional Hindu wedding, reflecting their diverse cultural backgrounds.
Vivek also spoke warmly of Gauri, describing her as "warm and cordial." He praised her for always being nice and welcoming during their subsequent social interactions. The wedding, attended by Shah Rukh's childhood friends and Gauri's brother, was a memorable affair filled with celebratory spirit and joy.
