Koimoi reports indicate that TORL Enterprises gave the actor Rs 10 crore as compensation from their Rs 150 crore total budget. His payment for Bad Newz equated with the Rs 10 crore payment but he made less than the Rs 12 crore salary he received from URI: The Surgical Strike. Rashmika Mandanna received Rs 4 crore as her pay for playing Maharani Yesubai Bhonsale in the film. 

One of the most talked-about aspects of Chhaava has been Akshaye Khanna's comparatively modest salary. The veteran actor, who made a come-back takes on the role of Aurangzeb, earned Rs 2.5 crore, which is significantly lower than Vicky’s pay..
