Taimur Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan's first child, became a favorite of the paparazzi soon after his birth in 2016. Notably, Taimur was delivered by Dr. Rustom Soonawala, a renowned gynecologist who also delivered Kareena herself. Dr. Soonawala, a Padma Shri awardee and a trusted doctor for many Bollywood families, passed away on January 5 this year at the age of 95.
Dr. Rustom Soonawala, a famous gynecologist in Mumbai, was known for helping many families welcome their babies. The Kapoor family trusted him greatly and chose him to deliver almost every child in their family, including Karisma Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
Dr. Rustom Soonawala, a Padma Shri awardee, was not only trusted by the senior Kapoor family but also by the younger generation. He delivered Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s daughter, Raha Kapoor, as well as Kareena Kapoor Khan’s children. Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli also chose Dr. Soonawala, and their first child, Vamika Kohli, was brought into the world under his care.
Dr. Rustom Soonawala passed away after a long illness. In the 1960s, the Padma Shri awardee developed the polyethene IUD, a method of birth control.
