Bollywood's real life 'Final Destination' moments ( Near Death experiences)

As Final Destination Bloodlines is all set to release in India this month with it's spine-chilling narrative of cheating death, here's a look at Bollywood’s most famous and shocking near-death stories. 

Amitabh Bachchan’s Coolie Set Accident (1982): 

A punch gone wrong during an action sequence left Big B critically injured. India held its breath as he battled for life, making a miraculous recovery that’s still spoken of with awe. 

Rakesh Roshan’s Shooting (2000):

The filmmaker was shot at point-blank range by the underworld outside his office in Mumbai. Despite serious injuries, fate changed it's course and he survived. 

Saif Ali Khan’s Stabbing Incident (2025):

In January 2025, Saif Ali Khan was stabbed multiple times by an intruder during a burglary attempt at his Bandra home. The attacker inflicted six stab wounds, including one near the spine, requiring emergency surgery. 

Rishabh Pant’s Car Crash (2022):

Though not a Bollywood actor, the young cricket star’s fiery highway crash and escape from a burning car felt like a scene straight out of Final Destination reminding fans how fragile life really is. 

Govinda’s Accidental Shooting (2024):

In October 2024, actor and politician Govinda accidentally shot himself in the leg while handling his revolver at his home. The revolver misfired as he was placing it in a cupboard, resulting in a bullet wound on his leg. Makes you wonder how fate has mysterious ways of bending itself in dangerous ways.

These chilling brushes with death add a real-life twist to the stories we have heard in Final Destination franchise. Maybe fate really does have a plan!
