Best Actor & Best Short Film Win For Sanjay Mishra’s ‘Giddh’ At Asia International Competition & Qualified For Oscars

The short film Giddh: The Scavenger is directed by the national award-winning filmmaker Manish Saini and produced by Ellanar Films and co-produced by Amdavad Films. It is on the take of an old man who is compelled to choose an unlikely means of earning a morsel, his hunger is fulfilled but soon his guilt catches up to create a dilemma. 

Till now, the Sanjay Mishra starrer has received several international honours that includes, it was a finalist at the USA Film Festival 2023 and being selected for other prominent film festivals like LA Shorts International Film Festival 2023 and the Carmarthen Bay International Film Festival 2023.

And currently, the film has made India proud by bagging the Best Short Film award at Asia International Competition at the renowned Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2023 and Sanjay Mishra is honoured with the Best Actor award. 

Guess what? There’s more to cheer for, as it has also got qualified in the race for Academy Awards (Oscars) and makes a strong contender in the short film category.
