The sudden demise of Suhani Bhatnagar, known for her role as young Babita Kumari Phogat in the film 'Dangal,' has left many saddened. Babita Phogat, the real-life inspiration behind the character, attended Suhani's prayer meet to offer her condolences to the grieving family.
Taking to Instagram, Babita shared pictures from the ceremony, showing her solemnly praying and standing beside Suhani's emotional parents. Expressing her grief, Babita wrote, "After the unfortunate demise of Suhani Bhatnagar...I visited her residence in Faridabad to offer my heartfelt condolences...Om Shanti."
Suhani's passing on February 16 was attributed to complications from dermatomyositis, a rare autoimmune disease. Her father, Sumit Bhatnagar, revealed that despite undergoing treatment, Suhani's condition worsened, leading to damage in her lungs.
Aamir Khan's production house also expressed their condolences, acknowledging Suhani's talent and contribution to 'Dangal.' Suhani's last rites were conducted at the Ajronda cremation ground in Delhi.
Suhani rose to fame with her role in 'Dangal,' where she portrayed a young Babita Phogat alongside Zaira Wasim, who played young Geeta Phogat. The film, which starred Aamir Khan as their father, Mahavir Phogat, was a critical and commercial success.
