Babil Khan is all set to appear in the upcoming film ‘Logout’, and ahead of the film’s release, Babil had an interview with a media portal. In the interview, he spoke about his father, Irrfan Khan, who died in 2020 after battling cancer.

In the interview, he talked about the attention he received after his father’s death and how it impacted him. He said, “The first wave of validation came in when everyone started following me [on social media]. After baba passed away, I got a lot of attention and it was very addictive. I saw so many people loving me. I always wanted to be loved right since my childhood. It all happened so suddenly and I didn’t realise that I was getting addicted to it.”

He further said, “At that time, I felt that I was gently and kindly moving towards the world [of attention]. But the truth is that I was letting my self-worth depend on the validation and opinion of others. Over time, life started teaching me that."

He added, “Every time I post, I feel so scared because of the anticipation of what may happen. I do feel the fear of the ‘what ifs’, the constant barrage of people’s opinions and getting trolled. It’s scary but just because it’s scary, it doesn’t mean that I won’t do it. I know that I’ve to take that step into the darkness and the unknown.”

In the same interview, Babil was asked if he would play the role of his father in the actor’s biopic, to which he replied, “Dad would not have liked it.”

Babil Khan's upcoming film ‘Logout’, directed by Amit Golani is the cyber-thriller drama, a satire on our dependence on smartphones. The movie also features Rasika Dugal, Gandharv Dewan, and Nimisha Nair alongside Babil. The movie will be released on Zee5 on April 18.
