Anil Kapoor Chooses Spy Universe Over Ajay Devgn's De De Pyaar De 2

Anil Kapoor was all set to join Ajay Devgn starrer De De Pyaar De 2, a Luv Ranjan Production. He was supposed to play Rakul Preet Singh's father which would create tension and a fun banter between him and Akshay Kumar. The romantic comedy was set to release in theatres by June 2024.

But recent reports suggest that Anil Kapoor has now withdrawn from the film. The reason being, a large part of the shooting of 'De De Pyaar De 2' overlapped with the shooting dates of Anil Kapoor for the YRF spy universe film. So, when he had to choose between the two, Anil chose upcoming spy films over the romantic comedy.

The source added Anil Kapoor is also shooting for his digital stint, Subedaar in June. “Subedaar is also there on the floors and Anil will have to shoot for the same in June and parts of July. There was a lot of overlapping and hence he decided to part ways from DDPD 2,” source added. 

Anil Kapoor was last seen in Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal, and will feature in War 2 and Alia Bhatt’s Super Solider Film.
