Amid divorce claims, Urmila's interview on parenthood resurfaces

Actor Urmila Matondkar filed for divorce from her husband, Mohsin Akhtar Mir, in Bandra. According to reports, they aren't separating on mutual terms, and the divorce filing happened over four months ago.

The reason behind their separation is still unknown, and Urmila and Mohsin have not yet responded to the divorce rumours. As for their presence on social media, Urmila only follows 150 people on Instagram, and her husband is not one of them. However, their pictures are still up on her Instagram feed.

During the separation rumours, an old interview with Urmila resurfaced, and she opened up about the most asked question about embracing parenthood. She said, "Yes and no. If it happens, it happens. I'm not looking forward to it, nor am I 'not looking forward' to it. It's not necessary for every woman to be a mother. Motherhood should happen for the right reason. I love children. But there are so many children out there who need our love and care. It's not necessary that they be born from you." 

The Rangeela Star tied the knot with Kashmiri Businessman and Model in 2016, hosting a very intimate wedding with only family and close friends. They met through a friend at the wedding of Riddhi Malhotra, niece of designer Manish Malhotra, back in 2014.
