Alia Bhatt Shares Why She Ditched Heavy Makeup On Her Wedding
Alia Bhatt has long been a proponent of natural, subtle makeup and often embraces a no-makeup look. In a recent interview, she revealed her preference for quick makeup applications, as she has Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). Her mantra? "The faster, the better!" This approach extended to her wedding day as well.
In an interview with Allure magazine, Alia recounted how her makeup artist, Puneet B. Saini, asked for two hours to complete her bridal look. However, she declined, explaining, “You’ve lost it. Especially on my wedding day, I’m not giving you two hours because I want to chill.”
ADD is a neurological condition that affects attention management and focus, falling under the broader category of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). ADD specifically refers to cases where hyperactivity is not a major symptom.
Symptoms of ADD include:
- Difficulty sustaining attention on tasks or activities
- Frequently losing focus
- Trouble organizing tasks or managing time
- Tendency to procrastinate or forget details
- Struggling to follow instructions or complete tasks promptly
ADD is quite prevalent, particularly among children, but it also affects adults. According to the CDC, about 5-10% of children are diagnosed with ADHD, while studies indicate that 4-5% of adults experience some form of ADHD, including ADD.
