Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has received a death threat, as confirmed by the Bandra Police in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The threat reportedly came from a number registered to a man named Faizan in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Shah Rukh Khan's team has filed a complaint with the Bandra Police.
The Bandra Police Station received a call with a threat. Now, a crime branch team from Bandra is heading to Raipur to verify details about the number used for the call. They have traced the number's last known location.
On November 5, a Mumbai police officer received a threatening call on a landline. The caller, identifying himself as "Hindustani," demanded Rs 50 lakh, saying, "Tell Shah Rukh Khan to pay Rs 50 lakh, or he will die." He added, "My name isn’t important, but if needed, note down 'Hindustani'."
Faizan, the person whose name was registered with the phone number, has been arrested in Raipur. The police have not shared further details, and he is currently being questioned by the Bandra Police team in Raipur.
It is still unclear if Faizan is actually Hindustani or if someone used his information to get the number used to threaten Shah Rukh Khan.
