When asked if he anticipated the remarkable box office response, Abhishek confidently stated, “Personally, I had a strong feeling about it from the time of Stree 1. I had predicted earnings of 70 to 80 crore, which Apar thought was unrealistic. I believed then that the film had broad appeal, resonating with audiences of all ages. When I read the script for Stree 2, I told Amar Kaushik he was crafting an epic, akin to a comic book adventure saga. Seeing the film come together, I was confident it would either be a major hit or a flop. However, no one expected it to cross 200 crore in just four days and be on par with Jawan and Pathaan.”

Regarding the impact of Stree 2’s success, Abhishek shared candid feedback: “The only major change is in the price point. Besides that, nothing much has altered. I feel more confident now and am eagerly awaiting good scripts. I’m overwhelmed by the response.”

Reflecting on reprising his role as Jana in Stree 2, Abhishek noted, “Jana is essentially a part of me; my childhood name is Gola, and I’ve been Jana since then. I was a mama’s boy and a loyal friend. I had to channel that energy for the role.”

Abhishek acknowledged Amar Kaushik’s contribution, saying, “Amar Kaushik gave life to every character, and the success is a collective achievement. Every character shone in the film, and the audience connected with them. It’s gratifying to see the audience maturing with us, appreciating good cinema and performances. We have actors like Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil delivering blockbusters, and it’s important to receive love in return, as a lack of it can be disheartening. I’m thankful that the audience recognizes and values hard work.”

Abhishek admitted he hasn’t had time to celebrate the success yet but plans to do so soon: “I’m working until the 27th, but after that, I’ll take a long vacation, disconnect from the success, explore foreign streets, enjoy good food, and meet someone who might inspire my next character.”

When asked if he would continue to keep his price high following the success, he explained: “I worked on Stolen for free due to budget constraints and my belief in the script. While I do earn a percentage of the film’s profits, a price increase doesn’t mean I’m inflating my value. It’s contingent on the film’s budget, and every actor should approach it similarly.”

Lastly, Abhishek provided an update on Stree 3: “The writing has just begun. I don’t expect it to start within the next year or two. Amar Kaushik is a genius, and he won’t start unless he has a script that’s truly exceptional.”
