12th Fail Wins Best Film at Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2024; Kartik Aaryan Named Best Actor

The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2024 saw Vikrant Massey's film "12th Fail" take home the award for Best Film, while Kartik Aaryan was honored with the Best Actor award for his role in "Chandu Champion."

Kiran Rao's "Laapataa Ladies" received the Best Film Critics' Choice Award. Shah Rukh Khan's "Dunki" was recognized with the Equality in Cinema award. Telugu actor Ram Charan was named Ambassador for Indian Art and Culture, and music composer AR Rahman was awarded for Excellence in Cinema.

The festival, which commenced on August 15, featured a variety of Indian films, web shows, actors, and directors. The event was inaugurated with a press conference attended by notable figures including Kartik Aaryan, Imtiaz Ali, Karan Johar, Kabir Khan, and Shoojit Sircar. The festival runs from August 15 to August 25.
