The Aamir Khan starrer “Dangal” created a history in the span of just two weeks. “Dangal” achieved the milestone which no other film could do and has become the fastest film in the history of Bollywood to cross 300 crores mark.
Thanks to the holiday season, the second weekend of “Dangal” was stupendous with eye-popping Rs 73.70 crores with the Sunday business being the best earning an outstanding Rs 31.20 crores. The collection dipped by more than 50% on its second Monday earning a steady Rs 13.45 crores. There was a reasonable drop on Tuesday earning Rs 10.86 crores. On Wednesday, the collections came to a single digit for the first time with Rs 9.5 crores (final numbers to be updated) crossing the 300 marks and scoring a gigantic total of Rs 304.64 crores. This makes “Dangal” second film for Aamir Khan to touch the 300 crore club after “PK” which scored Rs 340.80 crores.
Aamir Khan also became the actor who has two 300 crores film along with Salman Khan who was the box office champ with “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” at Rs 321 crore and “Sultan” at Rs 300.5 crores. On the other hand, the Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer “Sultan” dropped heavily to Rs 4.08 crores as compared to its previous earning a total of Rs 267.95 crores.
