BLACKPINK's Jisoo in Talks for Lead Role in New Drama 'Monthly Boyfriend'

blackBLACKPINK's Jisoo is reportedly considering the lead role in the upcoming drama "Monthly Boyfriend." 

On August 29, the media portal Osen revealed that Jisoo has been offered the role, and her agency, BLISSOO, confirmed that discussions are ongoing. If Jisoo accepts, this would mark her fourth acting project, following her successful debut in "Snowdrop," where she starred alongside Jung Hae In.

Jisoo is also set to lead the drama "Newtopia" and the film "Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint." 

"Newtopia," a fantasy thriller, will see Jisoo playing Young Ju, a rookie navigating her emotions amid a zombie outbreak. 

The film "Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint," anticipated for its star-studded cast including Lee Min Ho and Ahn Hyo Seop, is based on a popular web novel and is slated for a 2025 release.
