BLACKPINK To Make Comeback With A New Song at Upcoming ‘DEADLINE’ Concert

BLACKPINK is getting ready to return with brand-new music—and fans won’t have to wait long to hear it. On June 23, YG Entertainment confirmed that the group will perform a new song live for the first time at their upcoming ‘DEADLINE’ world tour concert in Goyang on July 5 and 6.

This marks BLACKPINK’s first new release in nearly three years, since their last full album BORN PINK dropped in September 2022.

In a statement, YG shared that there were several conversations about how to introduce the new track. Ultimately, the team decided to kick off the comeback with a live premiere, making the Goyang concert even more meaningful as it launches their next global tour.

“There was a lot of discussions about how to announce the new song,” a YG rep said. “We decided to first reveal it at the Goyang concert, which marks the starting point of the ‘DEADLINE’ tour where we will be reunited with fans.”

They also added that more details about the official release date of the song will be shared soon.

The upcoming track will be BLACKPINK’s first release in 2 years and 10 months, a period that saw the members focus on solo projects, brand deals, and acting gigs. Now, with DEADLINE on the horizon, fans are hopeful this signals a fresh chapter in their group promotions.

While the title and sound of the new song are still under wraps, anticipation is already growing as the Goyang concert date gets closer.
