Many characters from popular sitcom Tarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashma have stayed fresh in the public memory, even when the serial took a long break during a pandemic.
One such character is Tapu. A role played by Bhavya Gandhi for many years before he left the show. Now, in a recent interview, he had denied the charge that his unprofessional behaviour led to him getting ousted from the show.
Talking to Times Of India, Bhavya said, “I don’t care let them say whatever they want to say. I know the truth I know what I am is I am. Let people think, I don’t care.”
Moreover, Bhavya spoke of how the real reason was that he wants to explore himself. Even, today he is called ‘Tapu’. The actor quoted, “Even now people call me by my name, and I have no issues with it. I love it because I have grown up doing that thing. I am where I am because of that thing but I wanted to explore more. Because at a point at Tarak, I was just doing something, which was just monotonous.”
He also spoke about the special bond he shares with Disha Vakani and how they connect over video calls.
