Yet another wedding is on the cards, this time the wedding bells are going to ring for Masaan and Haraamkhor actor Shweta Tripathi and actor-rapper Chaitanya Sharma aka SlowCheeta on June 29.
From being in a mid-air conversation to becoming soulmates, this couple seems to have had their emotions absolutely sorted from the first time itself! Well, that’s what we understand from SlowCheeta’s, originally Chaitnya Sharma, wedding proposal for the lovely Shweta Tripathi.
Recently, Shweta Tripathi recounted the tale of how the two lovebirds met in the first place, “We met because both of us were stepping in for other actors. So, from Bombay (Mumbai), we met in Delhi to perform and hardly spoke throughout. On our way back, we were seated next to each other. It was a 5 a.m. flight, so obviously the plan was to doze off. But we started talking and that was that.”
SlowCheeta, who is five years younger to Shweta Tripathi, got a tattoo by the name of his soon-to-be wife, his love is incomparable as he gave out one of the most beautiful proposals in the form of a monologue in a theatre!
“He proposed at a place called Cuckoo Club, which is a performing place in Mumbai. He wanted to do it on stage because that’s how we met — for a play. He had told me he has a new play, so I went to see that… But it was the proposal,” said Shweta.
Moreover, his monologue totally blowed over everyone present in the audience, as Chaitnya Sharma spoke about his journey in finding love, unexpectedly. “They say you fall in love, and I fell hard, from about 36,000 feet! Up in the air, into her heart and she already had mine. Relations start from the ground upwards, mine started in the sky. We spoke about whales and the ocean and everything we know. She found me, and I found Nemo.”
Well, isn’t that just one of the most coolest and killer proposals ever, no wonder Shweta Tripathi fell hard for the guy! However, the wedding shall take place in Goa with “closest” family and friends in attendance.
For those unintiated, Shweta Tripathi, who is the daughter of Delhi’s former Chief Secretary P.K. Tripathi, came to Mumbai over a decade ago. At first it wasn’t really her aim to become a Bollywood actor. What brought her to the Bollywood hub was her love for theatre since her childhood days. This National Institute of Fashion Technology alumnus has her own theatre group by the name of AllMyTea Productions. Before her Bollywood journey started, she had been featured as the lively Zenia Khan in Disney channel’s Kya Mast Hai Life. Then came Neeraj Ghaywan’s Masaan, wherein she portrayed the innocent, poetry-loving, small town girl Shaalu. After that released Haraamkhor, the film in which Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays school teacher to her. Meanwhile, Shweta Tripathi has the soon-to-come web series Mirzapur, apart from feature films Gone Kesh and Cargo”, in her kitty as her upcoming projects.
Whereas, SlowCheeta’s latest song Kripya dhaan de from the film High Jack was launched just last week. Also, he was one of the collaborating rappers with Ranveer Singh as well as has also collaborated with Papon for the film Karwaan, with an additional song of his own!
Well, with this love-story, we can truly believe that love is unexpected and sudden, it can happen wherever and whenever!
