Anime Fans Across India Rejoice Over the Release of These Movies

In the recent years, Japanese  Anime have become very popular among audiences, which has also contributed to the extension of the Animation industry. Individuals including kids, watch and recognize popular Anime with only a few references.

Anime movies with good storylines and spectacular animation are received quite popular worldwide. The Anime films are first released in Japan, where they are primarily made, and then usually are released in the Western world. Indian audiences have to endure the pain of getting spoilers and watching other countries get film releases. So, Anime fans across India are celebrating the release of 3 Anime films in theatres in the month of May.

Studio Ghibli, founded by Hayao Miyazaki, Toshio Suzuki and Isao Takahata, is a leading Japanese animation Studio across the world. Studio Ghibli films are famous for its magic realism and romanticisation of everyday life. It is also known for it’s unique, beautiful and aesthetically pleasing Anime style. ‘The Boy and the Heron’, created by Miyazaki is Studio Ghibli’s most anticipated movie. The movie was released in July 2023 in Japan and in October 2023 is many other countries, so after waiting for almost a year, Indian fans get to see this movie in theatres on May 10.

Blue Giant, anime series based on the manga by Shinchi Ishizuka, follows the story of Dai Miyamoto, a student, who starts his jazz music journey after receiving a saxophone as a gift from his brother. One of the significant points of the film is its music, composed by jazz artist Hiromi Uehara. The film premiered in Japan in January 2023, and finally will be released in Indian theatres on May 24.

Haikyu, is one of the most popular anime series across the world. The series follows the story of Shoya Hinata and his volleyball journey. The series is loved by fans for its interesting characters and gripping storyline. The last season of Haikyu was released in 2019, and fans have been waiting for the story to continue ever since. So, when the new movie ‘Haikyuu!! The Dumpster Battle’ was announced, fans were overjoyed. The movie was first released in Japan in February 2024 and is now finally releasing in India on May 31.
