Founder Chairperson Of Reliance Foundation and IOC member, Nita Ambani hosted a grand celebration for all the 140 Olympians and Paralympians under the same roof at Antilia on Sunday.
Athelets were honoured for their dedication and hardwork which brought a lot to the country. Praising them, Nita Ambani said, “We are so proud of them. We are proud of each and every one of them. And today, we are going to honour them and show them the love and respect we have for them."
She also added, " We hope and we wish that United in Triumph can become a movement for unity and inclusiveness in sport and in life."
Pictures of Nita Ambani posing with Olympic medalists Manu Bhaker and Neeraj Chopra, and Paralympic medalists Navdeep Singh and Mona Agarwal at the United in Triumph event were shared on Instagram by official page of Reliance Foundation. She introduced the champion athletes as " Bharat ki Shaan " before requesting assembled photographers to applaud for them.
Other Olympic and Paralympic members like Murlikant Petkar (India’s first-ever Paralympic Gold medalist), Devendra Jhajharia (the first Indian to win two Paralympic Golds and President of the Paralympic Committee of India), along with Sumit Antil, Nitesh Kumar, Harvinder Singh, Dharambir Nain, Navdeep Singh, and Praveen Kumar were seen attending the event.
Several famous athelets like Sania Mirza, Karnam Malleswari and Pullela Gopichand were also seen at the event. Bollywood celebs like Ranveer Singh and Kartik Aryan, who played the role of Murlikant Petkar in Chandu Champion also graced the event.
Mukesh Ambani along with his family were present to host the event.
