C-JeS Studios, Lee Jae Wook's agency, confirmed the breakup, stating that Lee Jae Wook chose to end the relationship to focus on his ongoing work commitments. They assured that the pair would continue to support each other as colleagues.

Here is the statement:

“Actor Lee Jae Wook decided to end the relationship in order to focus on his work that he is currently filming. The two will remain good colleagues and support one another.”

Similarly, SM Entertainment, Karina's agency, verified the breakup, with the statement below:

“it is true that Karina and Lee Jae Wook have broken up.”
