Abu Dhabi makes wearing of Covid-19 tracking device compulsory for passengers at airport and during quarantine

Etihad has already announced asking passengers to start wearing the electronic wristbands on their arrival in Abu Dhabi.
The band is supposed to keep track of you as you go into your 14-day mandatory quarantine. The new rules, set by Abu Dhabi Crisis, Emergency, and Disasters Committee are to ensure that there are no further outbreaks. You can get the band removed after two weeks, but not before you get a negative result on the 12th day of your quarantine. As it is, Abu Dhabi wants you to get tested within 96 hours of your flight, irrespective of your final destination.
Daily infections in the United Arab Emirates rose this month to their highest since the outbreak started, which officials have largely blamed on people not practicing social distancing.
A health ministry official on Sept. 10 said 12% of cases in the previous two weeks were from international arrivals while 88% were linked to people gathering in large groups. The UAE recorded 786 new novel coronavirus cases on Thursday, down from 1,007 on Saturday, it biggest daily total so far.
