An article was recently released on our website and subsequently published to Yahoo News that was erroneous and misinformed, and this is to serve as a correction notice.
We understand that an article implicated the website HackForums, and the user TheChaosKiller, as both fraudulent and malicious, abusing the site OnlyFans to make money, however no fact checking had been taken place by the writer of the article and so the claims are unfounded. In fact, after doing some fact checking we have since determined the website and the user to both be legitimate and working above board.
The service mentioned has been determined to be 100% legal and 100% with the consent of the models involved as proven by models who got in touch with us, who earn extra amounts via the service, which does not break any laws whatsoever. The service recruits models who wish to earn more, and sees them form content leasing agreements where buyers will pay for the right to use their content in order to make money. In turn, the models are receiving significant amounts as reward, and everybody profits while not breaching any policies with OnlyFans due to how the service operates which we determined as legitimate.
The original article was rushed and appears to have been a hit piece sent to us by an agency, and we did not fact check it in time. The wording was malicious and, as it turns out, libellous, so we have removed it in it’s entirety and are working to have it removed from Yahoo also. Again, we established that this is a legitimate and approved service which has been running for some time, and apologise to those affected by the rushed publication of the grossly incorrect article.
