“Sultan” and “Dangal” had lot of things in common. Both films starred good friends – Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. Both films had similar themes – wrestling drama and both films successfully completed 50 days at the box office.
All the hard work has finally paid off and the team of “Dangal” had a grand celebration for the success of the film. It proved that content is the king and if it clicks well with the audience, nothing can stop it. Despite two big releases in January – “Raees” and “Kaabil”, everyone expected “Dangal” to be sidelined but the wrestling drama continued to perform the best and mint some money. With a jaw-dropping total of Rs 385.66 crores under its bucket, “Dangal” has managed to rake Rs 2.3 crores in its sixth week. Now this week, “Dangal” did manage to earn Rs 1.02 crores bringing a eye-popping total of Rs 386.68 crores.
“Dangal” is directed by Nitesh Tiwary and has become the highest grossing film of Bollywood beating “PK”, “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” and “Sultan”
