Some movies are meant to be embedded in your heart with powerful storyline, admiring screenplay and electrifying powerful performances. “Sultan” is one such film that will be remembered for its record-breaking business. After entering the Rs 300 crores mark, Salman Khan became the only actor to have two films “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” and “Sultan” under his kitty. This will also be the second film of Anushka Sharma to enter 300 crs after “PK”.
The wrestling drama was struggling for quite sometime to reach its goal but remained steady later bringing the collections to Rs 300 crores. With “Rustom” and “Mohenjodaro” conquering maximum screen counts, “Sultan” lost out few theaters but surprisingly it conitnued to mint money and added Rs 12 lacs to the staggering total collections of Rs 300.47 crores.
Though “Sultan” was not able to cross the lifetime collections of Kabir Khan’s “Bajrangi Bhaijaan” which earned Rs 323 crores as predicted earlier but facing solid competition from Rajnikanth’s “Kabali”, John Abraham and Varun Dhawan’s “Dishoom”, this is a pretty good figure. As of now, all we can Salman Khan is on cloud nine with continous blockbusters starting from “Dabangg”.
