After a gigantic first week, “Pink” continued to perform in its second week dropping only by 25% which is indeed fabulous. Despite the big release “M.S.Dhoni:The Untold Story”, “Pink” retained its presence in 698 screens for the straight third week.
The Amitabh Bachchan, Tapsee Pannu and Kirti Kukhari starrer “Pink” is on fire and this is getting proved with the steady box office collections which the crime-thriller is maintaining on the weekdays. With all the three new releases – the Riteish Deshmukh starrer “Banjo”, Ajay Devgan produced “Parched” and “Days Of Tafree” not able to do much at the ticket window, “Pink” took advantage of the situation and posted a solid result in its second weekend with collections dropping only 25-30% as compared to its first weekend. After crossing the 50 crores mark in its second weekend itself, “Pink” crashed on its second Monday as compared to the second Friday. But the business remained afloat on Tuesday while Wednesday was steady minting Rs 1.53 crores. The Thursday collections remained same as Wednesday earning Rs 1.53 summing the total collections to Rs 57.78 crores at the end of its second week.
“Pink” will face some heat this week when “M.S.Dhoni-The Untold Story” starring Sushant Singh Rajout releases.
