Kathal: A Jackfruit Mystery is an example of another satirical comedies which entertains audiences with a special & important message ahead. The message part in the story doesn’t really affect the comic elements in the film. The debutant director Yashowardhan Mishra touches upon the issue of missing girls in the village Moba. The way the story has been written by director’s father himself, Ashok Mishra it creates an impact in simple easy form. The storytelling gives importance to the plot and surroundings rather than producing unwanted big entries of supreme actors like Rajpal Yadav, Vijay Raaz or even Sanya Malhotra.

On acting part, all the actors have worked phenomenally especially working with the language, it doesn’t seem like we are watching a Hindi film but more of a bilingual. Each character has portrayed their professions upto the mark as, Sanya being a smart and leading officer she carries all the weight on her shoulders easily, it doesn’t seem like there’s something missing when she’s in the screen.

Rajpal Yadav brings glory whenever he is in the frame, he portrays a complete lookout of how media works nowadays. While Vijay Raaz despite having a small role of the MLA, excels it with his amazing natural skills. Neha Saraf too shines and occupies much of a screen time as a constable and family runner, she seems like the only one cop who doesn’t disappoints in her work. Anant Joshi as (Saurabh) performs well in all the awkward situations he been through in the movie, he suits well in the character kudos to the casting team.

Overall, Kathal: A Jackfruit Mystery is the fine family entertainer with some amazing performances, with its natural orientation and portrayal it doesn’t really leaves much of a impact which will make you think a little about the cause but that’s the beauty of the Satire comedies.
