The show centres on prosecutor Noh Ji-wook (Ji Chang-wook) and prosecutor trainee Eun Bong-hee (Nam Ji-hyun) as they collaborate on a puzzling case involving a cunning psychopath murderer. Their shared history reveals how closely they are related. Being a forgetful killer might be risky. Due to circumstances, Noh Ji-wook, a prosecutor, switches careers and works as a private attorney. Ji-wook trained Eun Bong-hee to be a prosecutor while he was a prosecutor. Ji-wook's longtime family friend and attorney Ji Eun-hyuk (Choi Tae-joon) betrayed him by having an affair with Ji-wook's ex-girlfriend. When a murder occurs, Bong-hee is unexpectedly made a suspect.

The drama's early working titles were Suspicious Romance and Beware This Woman. On April 4, 2017, the SBS Ilsan Production Centre in Tanhyun, South Korea, had the first script reading.

It's now official that "A Legal Affair," the upcoming Jio Cinemas series starring Angad Bedi and Barkha Singh, is an authorised Indian version of the well-known drama "Suspicious Partner."

Talking about the project, Angad Bedi said in a statement, "A Legal Affair is a legal drama based on a lawyer and his associate and the affair they have. It's an intense romantic drama, a genre I haven't dabbled in before. I did essay the role of a lawyer previously but that was a different space altogether which was based on a real life Murder case. Also, this show is an official adaptation of the K-drama, Suspicious Partner, which is already such a successful show. It's kind of tricky since the Korean version was already a hit, so people have high expectations and it's up to the actors and makers what more they can bring to the show."

Barkha Singh and Angad Bedi work together for the first time on the eagerly anticipated series, directed by Karan Darra. This wonderful series will only be available for viewing on the JioCinema or My Jio apps. Fans can excitedly anticipate the coming of this show even though the precise release date has not yet been announced.
