Netflix has come up with experimental genre of vampire fantasy thriller starring studded star cast Tanya Maniktala, Shantanu Maheshwari, Tillotama Shome, Sikandar Kher, Adil Hussain, Saswata Chatterjee & Revathi. While the show is created and directed by Pratim Dasgupta. This fantasy drama is set in today’s Kolkata.

It starts with Rumi (Tanya Maniktala) who is a vampire who lives with her group underground but often roam in normal world among humans in search of pure and fresh blood. On the other hand, Roy (Shantanu Maheshwari) is a young dentist in the town who is secretly runs a channel where he puts food making videos.
One day while in search of her hunt Rumi broke one of her fangs and needed urgent dental care. In this way she ran into Doctor Roy’s clinic and Roy develops a love interest in her. Further the love story gets complicated with the rivalries between vampires and coven of vampire slyaers, led by modern-day wicca named Luna Luka (Revathy).

Tanya nailed her role as Rumi, she is beautiful, bold and scary too when she is on hunt. She makes us too comfortable with her performance to watch something which is limitless imaginary. Tillotama Shome playing Meera & Saswata Chatterjee playing David too accompany her at their best as vampires.
Shantanu Maheshwari jumps into very unlike him character but slays as a dentist, he stays soft and gentle as story and character demands. While Sikandar Kher who is playing Kartik Pal, a police officer, plays fine, his weight loss for this role pays off for him!
