According to TIME Magazine's annual list of the world's most important individuals, Shah Rukh Khan outranked Serena Williams, who won an Olympic gold medal, Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta Corporation, and Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, the president of Brazil. With 4% of the vote after more than 1.2 million votes were cast, SRK won. If that isn't cause for celebration, we're not sure what is.

In the list, Iranian women who demonstrated for freedom came in second. With 2% of all reader votes, healthcare professionals came in third. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan, finished in fourth place with around 1.9% of the vote. Football legend Lionel Messi earned 1.8% of the total votes, placing fifth.

Shah Rukh Khan returned to the film business in 2023 with Pathaan, marking his triumphant return after more than 4 years away. The movie broke multiple box office records this year thanks to its enormous success. He co-starred in the film with Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.

SRK has been working hard as a movie producer and appearing in cameo roles over the past few years. His most recent project was the 2022 movie Darlings, which he co-produced with Alia Bhatt, who plays the major role. In addition to being an actor and a producer, he is a co-owner of the IPL cricket franchise Kolkata Knight Riders.
