A dispute erupted over Satnarayan Ki Katha in Madhya Pradesh. Sanskriti Bachao Manch, a Hinduist organisation, filed a document on Saturday requesting that producer Sajid Nadiadwala be charged with a crime at several Bhopal police stations. Sajid's face will be blackened if he visits Bhopal, they said in their warning.

In an interview with India Today, Chandrashekhar Tiwari, president of Sanskriti Bachao Manch, claimed that Satyanarayan Ki Katha is one of several movies that have been used to denigrate Hindu deities in the past. He continued by saying that the group will not put up with any attempts to damage Hindus' feelings by making such movies.

Satyaprem Ki Katha, a Sajid Nadiadwala production, will open in theatres on June 29, 2023.
